No Rest For The Wicked
It has been a while since I last had time for myself.
I have been busy with a lot of things during the past few weeks, mainly with work. Add to that some personal problems along with unforeseen events and you have a recipe for zero social life.
Like I had one. Ha!
Seriously, for the last couple of weeks, I felt like an engineer at the helm of a derailed train. I had some spots of misfortunes here and there and right now, most of my plans for next year would have to be put on hold until the later half of 2010 or even 2011.
But there’s no use crying over spilled milk. What’s done is done, whatever’s supposed to happen has happened and all the fresh air in the world won’t make a difference. Stopping at every bump that rattles our carriage will get us nowhere. What’s best is to count our blessing, see how much damage was dealt and go on with our lives.
And that’s what I’m doing right now, or at least trying to. I was able to replace some of the things which I lost and doing whatever it is that I can to salvage the rest. I take life as it happens, but also try to make it the way I want to take it.
I’m In!

A Man and his Castle
It has been three years since I moved out of my parents’ house. It was difficult, especially with my meager salary, but me and my roommate were able to get by.
Right now, I’m residing in Makati with my roommate and two other house mates. But I’ll be on the move again soon. It has been an interesting three years, and I feel it’s time for me (and also my roommate) to take off the training wheels and do it on my own- the only problem being I can’t find a place near my workplace that’s within my budget. I’ve been looking at online classifieds, and so far, apartments are being leased for 2k to 3k pesos beyond my budget.
I do hope I get to find one soon to be on track for my scheduled move early next year.
